Husband and wife Tony and Linda Lewin will be operating the barge. Tony has been in the commercial fishing and Charter fishing industry for the past 28 years in Gisborne, starting his career in Whangaparoa, with Linda crewing on many of our vessels being qualified as a Padi underwater Scuba Instructor.

We have owned and operated many commercial vessels ranging from 6m crab boats to 20m trawlers. Skilled and experienced in, vessel surveys, net making, welding, splicing of rope and wire, engine servicing, and maintaining underwater equipment ie, chain, swivels, shackles and wire.

Our family decided on a change of lifestyle as fishing requires a high amount of hours per week with very little family time. We decided to make the move to Mahurangi where Tony lived for his high school years and also his love for the area, Rodney Moorings and maintenance came up for sale and we jumped at the opportunity, the transition from fishing to moorings has been relatively easy as the environment and equipment used is very similar.
